The Matrigma measures cognitive ability using non-verbal logical problems and can be used to predict career success and job performance. Cognitive ability includes aptitude for accurate problem solving, logical reasoning and the ability to grasp new information. The assessmentcan therefore help inpredictingbehaviours such as critical reasoning skills, clear thinking, learning skills, and sound decision-making.


The Matrigma provides an indication of overall general mental ability.


The assessment provides valuable information for use in selection settings.


Interpretive Report: contains information about the individual candidate’s test score. It is also intended for use by the test administrator and contains more extensive feedback support for Matrigma.

The Matrigma is also used in the Targeted Prediction Ranking Reports, which has the:

  • Targeted Prediction General Job Performance: Ranks candidates based on their potential to engage in actions and behaviours that will contribute to the organisation’s goals.
  • Targeted Prediction Leadership: Ranks candidates based on their potential to be perceived as a leader by their co-workers, as well as how effective they are likely to be in such a role.
  • Targeted Prediction Sales: Ranks candidates based on their potential to set goals, givefeedback to, and satisfy customers within the boundaries of the employer’s interests.
  • Targeted Prediction Service: Ranks candidates based on their potential to add benefits to theorganisation’s offerings that satisfy, surprise, anddelight customers.


South African norms and research are available for the Matrigma, using candidates from the corporate environment in South Africa. JVR Psychometrics also welcomes the opportunity to partner with clients to conduct predictive studies in their organisations.
