The Metacognitive Assessment Series (MAS) Business Fundamentals provides a contemporary, mental agility-focused alternative to traditional abstract, verbal and numerical ability tests to quickly identify cognitively versatile, high potential people. 

All tests are in a mental agility format and sample fluid ability and crystallised knowledge. Scores are algorithmically combined to derive the Fundamental Abilities Quotient, in addition to reporting scores on each of the subtests. The report also includes a unique metacognitive component that provides insights into an individual’s decision-making style, to detect any patterns of overconfidence or underconfidence. 

An individual’s test taking behavior is also monitored in ‘real time’ to deter cheating and detect any actions they take that may invalidate the results of a test session.

MAS BUSINESS FUNDAMENTALS REPORT

The Standard report includes scores from working memory, mental arithmetic and vocabulary tests. 

The Advanced report includes scores from working memory, financial reasoning and vocabulary tests. 

Both reports also provide a normed Fundamental Abilities Quotient – an overall estimate of general ability – for easy comparison of test takers. 

The reports assist practitioners in:

• Identifying high potential people whose cognitive versatility is matched by confident, accurate and timely decision making. 

• Identifying a person’s decision making style and uncovering individuals who show consistent patterns of overconfidence or underconfidence in their cognitive abilities.
