To all our EQ-i and EQ-i 2.0 users We have gone “live” with the South African data collection for the EQ-i 2.0. Our research team has been liaising with Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) in setting up the system for research and we are excited to share this system with you. We need to collect data on 1500 participants, stratified according to South African demographics. We will be monitoring the process throughout to make sure that our South African normative sample is evenly distributed by gender and age, and matched to the South African Census based on race/ethnicity, geographic region and educational level. If you know of anyone who fits the criteria below, please assist us with gathering data: (See also: criteria to participate.pdf) Please participate Everyone who has their own EQ-i 2.0 portal account will have the opportunity to help us in gathering South African norms for the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 instruments. Benefits of participating Through participating in our research you will not only be part of the bigger community of EQ-i users working together in gathering South African norms, you will also reap the following rewards:
- Free Workplace reports for every client you assess through the data collection site if the client’s demographics fit the requirements.
- Valuable experience in using the new EQ-i 2.0.
How you can participate You will gain access to the system via your own EQ-i 2.0 portal. Within the next few days you will notice an added feature on your portal. Once you log in to your portal, you will be presented with a dash board showing three tools, including one that says Data Collection South Africa. This is the tool you will use to invite participants for the research and through which you will receive your free reports. You will see a data collection tracker showing whether your participants meet our data collection requirements to be included in a South African Norm. Please note that for the free report you will have to complete both the EQ-i 2.0 self-report and also rate someone else on the EQ360 2.0. We are gathering normative data on both the EQ-i 2.0 and the EQ360 2.0 and decided to combine the collection process. You will not receive feedback on the EQ360 2.0. The free report is a Workplace Report based on the EQ-i 2.0 self-report. JvR will… We will be supporting you throughout the process should you need any assistance in the use of the new instrument.
