JvR Psychometrics is proud to announce that the Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI) now has South African norms. This dynamic assessment forms a pivotal part of the Hogan Assessment Suite, which is composed of the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI); Hogan Development Survey (HDS); and the Motives, Values, Preferences, Inventory (MVPI). With South African norms and technical information on the HBRI scales now available, the HBRI can be used to complete the Hogan Assessment Suite for total person assessment in South Africa. The HBRI is an innovative ability instrument that measures information processing, decision-making, problem-solving, and adaptation. In short, the HBRI measures whether a candidate can process information effectively in order to make competent decisions and adapt appropriately to the work environment. The HBRI measures two primary constructs namely Tactical Reasoning (solving problems and making sensible decisions based on factual information) and Strategic Reasoning (the ability to detect errors, gaps, and logical flaws in business-related information) which together comprise the cognitive component of the total person assessment process. For more information on the HBRI and the nature of the HBRI’s norms and scales with the South African population please contact the research department at JvR Psychometrics.
