EQ-i Youth certification training

Are you interested in a scientific and holistic tool measuring a child’s level of emotional and social functioning?

e-Learning

We all know that Emotional intelligence (EI) is listed as one of the top skills required for success in schools and also in the workplace.

We often think that EI measurement and development are only meant for those who ‘struggle’ with their emotions. There is a body of research showing that emotional intelligence is a key determinant of success in general and not merely meant for people who can’t establish social relationships. Emotional and social skills can always be improved on, better managed, and better understood, whether somebody is well-adjusted or not. The most important first step of development is however to ensure that a scientifically accurate measurement tool is used, such as the EQ-i Youth.

This programme is valid for 1 month and you will need to complete the full programme within a month of receiving the access link.

JVR Psychometrics, in collaboration with Multi-Health Systems, has recently developed the NEW EQ-i Youth (published 2020).

The EQ-i Youth is based on the well-researched EQ-i 2.0 model. This model defines EI as a set of emotional and social skills that influences the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.

The assessment highlights emotional and social strengths and weaknesses. This allows the professional to implement a focused development plan specific to the child. The EQ-i Youth has shown to be effectively used in various youth development programmes, youth leadership development, career choice processes, and preparation for school leavers, to name a few.

Please note that certification training is an international prerequisite to access the EQ-i Youth. Although it is directly available to EQ-i 2.0 certified practitioners, this training is strongly recommended to obtain more insight into its development, application, report options, and extra resources.
